How often have you heard the expression, “I need to get my beauty sleep”? That’s no joke! To be truly healthy – mentally and physically – we need regular, deep sleep and we never truly “make up for” the sleep that we’ve lost. Here’s a link to an article that was in McLean’s magazine, recently, that really delves into the ways that lack of sleep undermines our health.

Just like children get cranky when they are tired, I notice how bleak life seems when I’m suffering from sleep deprivation. Everything takes more time to accomplish and life loses its lustre. I look at everything around me and just think, “Yuck”!

I’ve decided to schedule sleep, just like I schedule my waking hours, because the hours of sleep are what make the waking hours not only liveable but enjoyable!

Go forth and sleep more this week!!
